Staheekum is a slipper company based out of Washington. They focus on luxury and plush footwear for men and women. I wanted to focus on the comfort and the aesthetic of the slippers. Who wears them? Where are they worn? Luckily for me, I have been wearing these slippers for a long time. I wore them hiking in Coeur d' Alene, ID and other various areas in the PNW through snow, rain or sunshine.
Living at a campground in Coeur d' Alene, ID with lots of cabins, it just made sense to use them as part of the story. Who would wear slippers more than someone in a nice cozy cabin with a nice fire? So, the rustic feel is what I went for. Oh, and of course the adventurer wearing these always needs a dog by their side.
